The Nomad Cruise was a great way to meet likeminded people while traveling across the atlantic ocean to a new continent. I thought I'd get a lot of offline work done during my trip, but I ended up having too much fun (get the drinks package and pack extra sun block). The community has been great, and I've met people from the cruise as I've travelled around South America, even spending Christmas with one of them. Even last night, I met someone who I hadn't even met on the cruise, 6 weeks after we got off. If you're looking for cheap, fun travel, and some time to unplug, the cruise is a great choice for you.
Nomad Cruise was one of the most amazing experiences of my life. As I was attending the first edition, I didn't know what to expect, but hoped I will find great digital nomads to connect with and will get inspired for new projects. And it was even more than that: I met awesome people, I had a great time combining cocktails by the pool with business talks and it was great to be part of so many insightful workshops. Moreover, on Nomad Cruise I got a new business idea that soon will be launched.
The whole idea felt so crazy yet so right, I was among the first to sign up. I don´t think any other cruise ship has ever seen a skill set as impressive and diverse as ours and I´m pretty convinced the experience has changed everyone who participated. Travelling should take you places – just resetting the clock every couple of days and feeling the air getting warmer as we got closer to Brazil was so much more amazing than just getting on a plane for 10 hours and then beat the jetlag. Staring at the atlantic ocean for a week instead of a screen gave me some much needed digital detox and new inspiration for my fast growing business Lvstprinzip.de. Slow travel is the new fast travel – I´d say get on that boat!
